Sour cherries are ripe and dried on the aromatic nose. Wild mountain fruit, bright berries, cherries and currants coat the palate through a rustic texture reminiscent of saddle leather. Earthy bramble lingers on the finish.

This easy-drinking blend of 75% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot and 5% Malvasia has spice-laced ripe black cherry aromas. The light, simple palate shows sour cherry and clove with soft tannins. Drink soon.

Tasted: Jan 2012
Easy, simple and clean, this no-fuss Chianti opens with white cherry, forest berry and blue flowers. It's a subtle, soft wine with a compact but watery close.
