Bevi ora.

Made entirely with Cabernet Sauvignon, this opens with subdued aromas of mocha, tobacco and green peppercorn. The tightly wound palate offers black currant jam, licorice and espresso alongside assertive tannins and the heat of evident alcohol. Drink through 2025. Kerin O’Keefe

Shimmering ruby with purple reflexes. Intense nose of Cuban cigars, cedar and rich cassis. Full-bodied and firm on the palate, unfolding with plenty of dense tannin, deep and warm, finish with a hint of liquorice.

Rich, flint ruby. Intense, fragrant nose, opens with notes of gunpowder, then tobacco, cassis and blackberry. Lots of juicy, dark berry fruit, fine-meshed tannin, noticeable, lively acidity gives freshness, light green tones on the finish.

Made from only Cabernet Sauvignon that ferments in stainless steel. The wine then ages in French tonneau-size barrels for 16-18 months. This vintage 2007 has been on the market for several years now and from the beginning has met with significant success. Tasting it again today confirms that it has lost none of the goodness it had before and has even improved. The wine has a dark and intense color and a bouquet of remarkable complexity which opens with fresh notes of candied citrus followed by fruity tones of blueberry and then cinchona and graphite. The impact of the mouthfeel is silky and rich with very fine tannins. The finish is very long and satisfying and underscores a single attribute: elegance.

An attractive Cabernet Sauvignon, this opens with varietal aromas of cedar, red currants and tobacco while the palate offers dried black cherry, exotic spice and licorice. It's still tightly wound with firm but fine-grained tannins.

A very great wine, a fine Cabernet Sauvignon, a bottle of incredible goodness, elegance and persistence, something to drink in big mouthfuls. The color is an intense ruby-red with bright reflections and an edge that remains intact. The aroma is perfect, violent and assorted but in no way caricatured with its red fruits, underbrush, dash of pepper and smoky component. The mouthfeel has endless length, with disarming and simple goodness and consistency, with very fine and velvety tannins. I really liked this one a lot.

A pure expression of Cabernet Sauvignon from one of the most historic estates in Tuscany, Il Pareto would make a worthy partner to a succulent steak or roast beef. Dark fruit and cherry is enhanced by leather and tobacco for a super long and luscious finish.

Made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. A great and surprising wine, the product of an excellent harvest in Tuscany, perhaps the best of the century. It has an intense and luminous garnet color with a slightly orange edge. Its aromatic profile is rich, complex and very full, with fruity scents of morello, blackberry, light tobacco, plus accents of spice, black pepper, on a balsamic background, even if the wine is totally Tuscan in character. The taste is slightly tannic, velvety, very delicate and balanced, with an elegant and extremely long finish.

Made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The harvest was heralded but not perfect because is was late and its polyphenol component was not fully developed. Its color is a nicely concentrated, dark garnet. The nose opens with austere scents, balsamic, smoked and even spicy, with touches of rhubarb, quinine and black cherry which slowly evolve towards scents of dried flowers. In the mouth the tannins start of a little too strong and make the taste profile a little rugged before it boldly fills out to offer excellent persistence.

Made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. The harvest was not as good as 2001 but the wine is more agile and elegant. A very intense and concentrated ruby color. The nose is youthful and nicely intense with scents of fruit and spice, especially cardamon. In the mouth the tannins are abundant and severe, though not aggressive, with a nice acidity which refreshes the whole flavor profile. The finish is bold and long.

Made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. A good year, balanced, less hot than 2008, with a regular harvest. The ruby color is very intense and luminous, nicely concentrated. The aromas are engagingly fruity, very youthful, with some acceptable accents of over-ripe fruit. Scents of yellow peaches, raspberry, some spicy accents of black pepper, hints of vanilla and light tobacco. A rich flavor, glyceric, enveloping and warm, with a nicely long finish.

Made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. A very late harvest with picking taking place well into October after a cool and rainy summer offset by a wonderful September. The color is a bright, luminous garnet of average concentration. The bouquet is balsamic and vegetable, very diversified, with classic scents of pepper next to balsamic accents of pine sap, spice and even roasted coffee. To the taste the tannins are evident, severe, but not bitter, while the acidity is noticeable and offers a preview to a subtle finish of nice length.

Made from Cabernet Sauvignon grapes. Although it came just two years after the '99 this seems like a different wine. The harvest was a valid one, but the wood barrels were newer and the 'touch' of Michel Rolland is very evident. Its color is a very intense, concentrated and dark ruby red. The bouquet essentially fruity, with scents of black currant, then vanilla, new wood and blueberry. The attack is more soft and sweet, with dusty tannins, rich, full, concentrated but of average complexity and not too articulated.

Sattes, undurchdringliches Rubinviolett. Duftet in der Nase nach Weihnachtsgebäck, dahinter viel Cassis und Himbeere. Straffes, dichtmaschiges Tannin, baut sich satt auf, herzhaft, muss sich im hinteren Bereich erst noch glätten, im Nachhall satt nach Cassis. Bezug: Vergeiner, Lienz;

Made from a clonal selection of the estate's best Cabernet Sauvignon, this cheerful red is concentrated and extracted with a seductively sweet-smelling nose. It is by no means simple: Background aromas of tar, root beer, espresso, chopped mint and bright berry speak to its Tuscan roots. It's still a bit thick and chewy in the mouth, so drink it after 2012 and give it time to open.
